U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message regarding a delay in the correction of a CAMIR unified manifest with ISF transactions discrepancy. CBP has opted to delay implementation of the fix which would properly reject CAMIR unified manifest with Importer Security Filing (ISF) transactions when an inbond number is not provided for T&E or IE inbond movements. (CBP had previously announced that the discrepancy would be corrected on September 15, 2010.)
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice of method which states that the agency is modifying the test method currently applied for the testing of pressed and toughened (specially tempered) glassware for Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification purposes.
CBP has posted a memorandum announcing the September 13, 2010 opening of the TRQ on cotton fibers as provided for in HTS Chapter 52, Additional U.S. Note 10 for the period September 11, 2010 through September 10, 2011.The TRQ level is 2,500 kg.

CBP has posted a memorandum announcing the September 13, 2009 opening of the TRQ on tobacco as provided for in HTS Chapter 24, Additional U.S. Note 5, for the period September 13, 2010 through September 12, 2011. CBP's notice lists the relevant HTS Chapter 24 tariff numbers, as well the "low duty" TRQ limits for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, European Union Members (EU-15), Guatemala, Malawi, Philippines, Thailand, Zimbabwe, and Other Countries or Areas (excluding Canada, Israel, and Mexico).
