The Commerce Department issued its final determination in its countervailing duty investigation on aluminum lithographic printing plates from China (C-570-157). Suspension of liquidation is currently not in effect for entries on or after June 29, 2024, and Commerce will require cash deposits of estimated CV duties on future entries only if it issues a CV duty order.
The Commerce Department on Sept. 26 released antidumping and countervailing duty orders on brass rod from Israel (A-508-814/C-508-815). The orders set permanent antidumping and countervailing duties, which will remain in place unless revoked by Commerce in a sunset or changed circumstances review. Commerce will now begin conducting annual administrative reviews, if requested, to determine final assessments of AD/CVD on importers and make changes to cash deposit rates.

The Commerce Department began administrative reviews for certain firms subject to antidumping and countervailing duty orders with August anniversary dates. Producers and exporters subject to any of these administrative reviews on China or Vietnam must submit their separate rate certifications or applications on or about Oct. 21 to avoid being assigned high China-wide or Vietnam-wide rates.

The Commerce Department has published the preliminary results of its antidumping and countervailing duty administrative reviews on light-walled rectangular pipe and tube from China (A-570-914/C-570-915). The agency preliminarily found that the Vietnamese company Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Company Limited had no shipments of subject merchandise during the AD and CVD review periods, which are Aug. 1, 2022, through July 31, 2023, and Jan. 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2022, respectively.
The Commerce Department issued its final determinations in its antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on ferrosilicon from Russia (A-821-838/C-821-839). Changes to cash deposit requirements set in these final determinations take effect upon their publication in the Federal Register, scheduled for Sept. 18.
