Suspension of liquidation and antidumping duty cash deposit requirements are set to take effect May 30 for imports of frozen warmwater shrimp from Ecuador (A-331-805) and Indonesia (A-560-842), after the Commerce Department found dumping in preliminary determinations in its ongoing AD duty investigations.

The Commerce Department issued its final determinations in its countervailing duty investigations on paper shopping bags from China (C-570-153) and India (C-533-918). Suspension of liquidation is currently not in effect for entries on or after March 5, 2024, and Commerce will only require cash deposits of estimated CV duties on future entries if it issues a CVD order.
Comments on the scope of ongoing antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on aluminum extrusions from China, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam are now due June 5, said the Commerce Department in a notice released May 22 amending the scope of its CVD investigations to align it with changes adopted in its AD preliminary determinations (see 2405070079), and also extending the comment deadline. Rebuttal comments will then be due June 12.

The Commerce Department issued a notice in the Federal Register on its recently initiated antidumping and countervailing duty investigations on crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, whether or not assembled into modules, from Cambodia (A-555-003/C-555-004), Malaysia (A-557-830/C-557/831), Thailand (A-549-851/C-549-852) and Vietnam (A-552-841/C-552-842). The CVD investigations cover entries for the calendar year 2023. The AD investigations on Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand cover entries April 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024, and the AD investigation on Vietnam covers entries Oct. 1, 2023, through March 31, 2024.

The Commerce Department issued its final affirmative determinations in the antidumping duty investigations on mattresses from Bosnia and Herzegovina (A-893-002), Bulgaria (A-487-001), Myanmar (formerly Burma) (A-546-001), Italy (A-475-845), the Philippines (A-565-804), Poland (A-455-807), Slovenia (A-856-002) and Taiwan (A-583-873). Changes to cash deposit requirements set in these final determinations take effect May 15, the date they are scheduled for publication in the Federal Register.
