CBP issued the following releases on commercial trade and related matters:
CBP created Harmonized System Update (HSU) 2407 on June 20, containing 17 ABI records and 4 Harmonized Tariff Schedule records. "This update contained Section 301 exclusion updates that included extending HTS numbers 9903.88.67 and 9903.88.68 from May 31, 2024, to June 14, 2024, and adding new HTS number 9903.88.69 effective June 15, 2024, through May 25, 2025," CBP said in a June 27 CSMS message.
CBP created Harmonized System Update (HSU) 2409 on June 26, containing 261 ABI records and 79 Harmonized Tariff Schedule records. "This update also includes the addition of HTS 9903.45.29 for Section 201 Bifacial Exclusions," CBP said in a CSMS message. "Additional communication with further details, information and guidance on Section 201 bifacial exclusions is forthcoming."
CBP created Harmonized System Update (HSU) 2406 on June 12, containing 7 Automated Broker Interface (ABI) records and 2 Harmonized Tariff Schedule records. The update includes an update to the Partner Government Agency (PGA) flag indicator (FD3) for FDA in support of the PGA message set, and it includes new Section 301 exclusions under subheading 9903.88.69 for articles of China that were extended from June 15, 2024, through May 31, 2025.

CBP created Harmonized System Update (HSU) 2404 on June 4, containing 44 Automated Broker Interface (ABI) records and 13 Harmonized Tariff Schedule records. The update includes a partner government agency Harmonized Tariff Schedule flag indicator update, extensions to Section 301 exclusions (see 2405240068), and an update noting the continued suspension of the 25% Section 232 tariffs under subheadings 9903.81.82, 9903.81.83, 9903.81.84 on steel and derivative steel products imported from Ukraine.
When a declaration is made on the Automated Commercial Environment portal, the system will automatically check for duplicate Harmonized Tariff Schedule numbers, case numbers and manufacturer IDs before submission is permitted, CBP said. This was part of a series of updates CBP made to the ACE Portal that was highlighted in an April 25 CSMS message.
