The Food and Drug Administration has issued a proposed rule to amend its regulations governing medical device establishment registration and device listing. Comments on FDA’s proposed rule are due by June 24, 2010.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued Federal Register notice of its provisional acceptance of a settlement agreement and order with Jo-Ann Stores, Inc., containing a civil penalty of $50,000 for alleged violation of the federal lead paint ban in toys. The Department of Energy announces a public meeting on May 26, 2010 to discuss and receive comments in preparation of a proposed rule on energy conservation standards for certain incandescent reflector lamps that have elliptical reflector or bulged reflector bulb shapes, and for certain IRL with diameters of 2.50 inches. The Foreign Agricultural Service announces that the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee for Trade and the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committees for Trade will hold closed meetings on May 6, 2010.
