The Food and Drug Administration has issued a final rule, effective June 11, 2010, which makes a technical amendment to its regulations to reflect changes in the contact information for the FDA Emergency Call Center. The phone number will change to 866-300-4374, and the fax number will change to 301-847-8544.
The State Department announces a public meeting on June 17, 2010 in Washington, DC to discuss the supplement to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Legislative Guide on Secured Transactions dealing with security rights in intellectual property, as well as possible future work in UNCITRAL on an IP licensing guide.
The Bureau of Industry and Security has issued two denial orders denying certain export privileges for ten years against Joseph Piquet and Aaron Robert Henderson; and two denying certain export privileges for five years against Shu Quan-Sheng and Green Supply, Inc., for various illegal and/or unlicensed exports.

The Food and Drug Administration is announcing the availability of a guidance entitled "Use of 'Light,' 'Mild,' 'Low,' or Similar Descriptors in the Label, Labeling, or Advertising of Tobacco Products." The guidance document will be implemented immediately, but it remains subject to comment.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a final determination (HQ H095239) that the U.S. is the country of origin for certain upright and recumbent exercise bikes for purposes of U.S. government procurement.
The Department of Defense has issued an interim rule, effective June 8, 2010, which amends the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to incorporate increased thresholds for application of the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and the Free Trade Agreements. Comments are due by August 9, 2010.
The Department of Defense has issued a final rule, effective June 8, 2010, which amends the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to reflect the determination that it is inconsistent with the public interest to apply the restrictions of the Buy American Act to the acquisition of articles, materials, and supplies produced or manufactured in Finland.
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has issued a proposed rule regarding the importation of Unshu oranges from Korea to remove requirements for the fruit to be grown in specified canker-free export areas and for joint inspection in the groves and packinghouses by the Government of Korea and APHIS, among other things. Comments are due by August 9, 2010.
