USTR Seeks Comments on India's Restrictions on U.S. Ag Products
The U.S. Trade Representative is seeking public comments on talks that the U.S. has requested with the Indian government on prohibitions that India has imposed on the import of various agricultural products from the U.S., purportedly because of concerns related to Avian Influenza.

The U.S. contends that the Indian measures seem inconsistent with Articles I and XI of GATT 1994 and several articles of the Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures. Comments are due April 19 to www.regualtions.gov.
