APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for April 24

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails April 24, 2012, announcing changes to some Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Cut Flowers and Greenery Import Manual: The online Cut Flowers and Greenery Import Manual (here) was revised to update the contacts and phone numbers for reporting problems with the manual. Revisions are on page 1-14.

Golden Nematode Program Manual: The online Golden Nematode Program Manual (here) was revised to update the following topics:

  • Reporting problems with the manual
  • Updating the manual
  • Ordering additional manuals and revisions

Revisions are on the following pages:

  • Chapter 1: Introduction: pages 1-1-1, 1-1-4, 1-1-7, and 1-1-8.

Note: Appendix C, Maintenance of the Manual, has been deleted. Information previously contained in Appendix C was updated and included in the revised Chapter 1, Introduction.
