FSIS Reports Codex Pesticide Residues Committee Meeting in Shanghai April 23-28

The 44th Session of the CCPR is meeting April 23-28 in Shanghai, China. In addition to considering proposed maximum residue limits (MRLs) for pesticides in foods and animal feeds, the committee will consider:
- The Pilot Project and Progress of the National Global Joint Review;
- Revision of the Codex Classification of Foods and Animal Feeds;
- Principles and Guidance for the Selection of Representative Commodities for the Extrapolation of MRLs for Pesticides for Commodity Groups;
- A discussion paper on guidance to facilitate the establishment of MRLs for pesticides for minor crops and specialty crops; and
- Revision of the Risk Analysis Principles applied by the Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues.
