APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for April 26

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails April 26, 2012, announcing changes to some Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

National Detector Dog Manual: The online National Detector Dog Manual has been revised to update contact information. Revisions are on the following pages:

  • Chapter 1: Introduction: Pages 1-1-1 and 1-1-10.
  • Chapter 2: Procedures: Section 5: Public Awareness: Page 2-5-4.
  • Appendix A: APHIS Contacts: Pages A-1-1 and A-1-2.

Note: Appendix I, Manual Maintenance, has been deleted. Information previously contained in Appendix I has been updated and included in the revised Chapter 1, Introduction. Appendix J: Legislative Authority, and Appendix K: Forms, have been re-named to Appendix I: Legislative Authority, and Appendix J: Forms.
