APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for June 4

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service issued emails June 4, 2012, announcing changes to some Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes made to the Animal Product Manual (here) reflect up-to-date information and corrections. Specific changes follow:

  • Table 3-6-3 Whole egg shells change HPAI language has been moved into second column (And the country or region of origin is known to be:), first cell and has been made into bullet points; the former third and fourth rows have been deleted from the table
