APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Nov. 26
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Nov. 26 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The specific changes are listed after the individual page, table, and figure numbers below.
Chapter 3-4 Bones and Related By-Products
- Table 3-4-12 Bones and related by-products not specifically mentioned elsewhere - Australia has been deleted from the third cell in the fifth column (And the country or region of export is:) on the second page of the table
Chapter 3-6 Eggs and Egg Products from Poultry, Game Birds, or Other Birds
- Figure 3-6-10 Requirements for a foreign official veterinary certificate issued for fresh, unfertilized eggs for food, for foods OTHER THAN from Canada - Australia has been deleted from number ix in the figure
- Table 3-6-8 Fresh, unfertilized eggs - a new row has been added at the top of the table
Chapter 3-18 Pet Food, and Livestock, Poultry, and Aquaculture Feed
- Table 3-18-2 Pet food/animal feed (including chews, treats, and toys) additive and supplements - Australia was deleted from the second and third cells in the fourth column (And:) on the second page of the table
- Table 3-18-4 Fresh/frozen pet food/animal feed and ingredients (including chews, treats, and toys) - Australia was deleted from the second and third cells in the second column (And the product is:)
Appendix A Guide to Entry Status of Animal Products in Passenger Baggage or Mail
- Figure A-1-1 Guide to entry status of animal products in passenger baggage or mail matrix - "X" was added to the Australia row, HPAI column; markings in the last three columns of the Australia row have been corrected
Appendix C List of Foreign Countries and Their Disease Status
- Figure C-1-1 List of foreign countries and their disease status - "HPAI" was added to Australia and Norfolk Island (Dependent State of Australia) rows, second column (Disease Status Affected with:)
Appendix H List of Veterinarians
- Page H-1-5 Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio - contact information was updated
