APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Jan. 15

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Jan. 15 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Cut Flowers and Greenery Import Manual: The online Cut Flowers and Greenery Import Manual (here) was revised to update the following:

  • List of importers under compliance agreement to import Chamaedorea spp. (palm) fronds for distribution in Florida (Table 3-12 on page 3-12)
  • Entry requirements for Cordyline spp. (Tables 3-24, 3-25, and 3-26 on pages 3-23 and 3-24)
  • Entry requirements for Dracaena spp. (Page 3-29)
  • Authority for prohibiting the entry of Lygodium flexuosum and Lygodium microphyllum (Table 3-52 on page 3-48)
