APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Jan. 16

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Jan. 16 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Treatment Manual: The Treatment Manual (here) was updated. There were several reasons for the update:

  • Revise the disclaimer language on the back of the cover page
  • T100-Schedules for Fruit, Nuts, and Vegetables: added "mint, Mentha spp." to schedules T101-n-2-1-1, T104-a-1, and T104-a-2 (pages 5-2-30, 5-2-31, 5-2-64, and 5-2-66)
  • Corrected an error on page D-2
  • Appendix H: added new approved anemometer manufacturer, TruTech Tools (page H-12)
  • Appendix H: added new approved Extech anemometer model 45158 (page H-12)
  • Appendix H: added new approved high temperature recorders and sensors (pages H-62 and H-63)
  • Index: corrected misspelling on page Index-24
