APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Feb. 5

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Feb. 5 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes were made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The specific changes are listed after the individual page numbers below.

Appendix A Guide to Entry Status of Animal Products in Passenger Baggage or Mail

  • Page A-1-33 under "Personal Use Amounts of Canadian Bovine Meat or Foods Containing Bovine Meat or Meat Products (NOT Including Pet Foods)" heading - final sentence and link were added to paragraph

Appendix H List of Veterinarians

  • Page H-1-3 change contact information was updated

Links contained throughout the manual in the Table of Contents, List of Figures, List of Tables, and Index as well as internal and external cross-references and hyperlinks were all updated as necessary.
