APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Feb. 8

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Feb. 8 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Gypsy Moth Program Manual: The online Gypsy Moth Program Manual (here) has been revised to do the following:

  • Replace Appendix C with a link to the document “Areas Quarantined in the United States for Gypsy Moth” (here)
  • Provide a link to the current list of gypsy moth quarantine areas in Canada

Changes indicated by black change bars in the left page margins are on the following pages:

  • Chapter 1: Introduction: Page 1-2.
  • Appendix B: Map of Generally Infested Areas: Page B-1.

Links throughout the manual and the Table of Contents, List of Figures, List of Tables, and Index were also updated.
