APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Feb. 11

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Feb. 11 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

FAVIR: The search function in the Fruits and Vegetables Import Requirements database (FAVIR) (here) has been modified. The modification changes the search capability to a search by either country, commodity, or scientific name. Instructions for using the new search feature can be found in the FAVIR User's Guide (here). A link to the User's Guide has been added to the "Navigation in the Database" section of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). The FAQs are located in the "Options" box on the FAVIR Home page.
