APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for March 11

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes March 11 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Cut Flowers and Greenery Import Manual: The online Cut Flowers and Greenery Import Manual (here) was revised to update the entry requirements for Physalis spp. Changes to Table 3-50 on page 3-46 are indicated by black change bars in the left page margin.

Agricultural Clearance Manual: The online Manual for Agricultural Clearance (here) was revised to update information on precleared plant material. Changesindicated by black change bars in the left page margins are on pages 2-1-11 and 2-1-12 of Chapter 2: Examining and Monitoring Cargo: Section 1: Clearing Imported Cargo and Inspecting Cargo Holds.
