APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for May 2

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes May 2 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Treatment Manual: The Treatment Manual (here) was revised to add a new cold treatment, T107-i for 'Barhi' dates [Docket APHIS-2012-0004 effective May 2, 2013]. Revisions, indicated by black change bars in the left margin, are on page 5-2-82.

FAVIR and Fruits and Vegetables Manual: FAVIR (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) were revised to add 'Barhi' dates to the list of admissible commodities from Israel [Docket APHIS-2012-0004 effective May 2, 2013]. Revisions in the manual are indicated by black change bars on pages 3-167 and 3-168.
