APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for May 7

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes May 7 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Approved Dracaena Facilities: The list of APHIS Approved Dracaena spp. Facilities authorized to export Dracaena spp. from Costa Rica to the continental U.S. (here) was updated, transmittal 05/2013-11, to remove two facilities. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin of each revised page, are as follows:

  • Page 2: Deleted Grasira S.A., Registry No. 1, and Huberth Retana Jimenez, Registry No. 1467
