APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for May 29

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes May 29 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Gypsy Moth Manual: The online Gypsy Moth Program Manual (here) was revised to update Appendix D. Links to Appendix D throughout the manual were also updated. Changes, indicated by black change bars in the left page margins, are on the following pages:

  • Chapter 2: Detection Survey: Pages 2-13 and 2-14.
  • Chapter 19: Eradication Using Mass Trapping: Pages 19-4 and 19-6.
  • Appendix D: GM Data Collection: Pages D-1 through D-10.
