APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for June 13

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes June 13 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual: The following changes were made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The specific changes are listed below.

  • Table 3-113 Millet and pseudo millet - footnote #5 has been added in the second cell in the second column (And:); footnote #5 has been added to the table
  • Table 3-185 Wood and wood products NOT meeting universal importation options - language has been altered in the first and second cells in the second column (And:)
  • Table 3-199 Wood packaging materials (WPM)--natural or unfinished wood pallets, crates, or dunnage serving to convey or protect cargo - language in footnote #2 has been revised
