APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for June 20
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes June 20 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

FAVIR and Fruits and Vegetables Manual: FAVIR (here) and the Fruits and Vegetables Manual (here) were revised. The reason for the revision was to modify the import requirements for pitaya/pitahaya from Nicaragua. The systems approach is now operational in Nicaragua and import permits may be issued.
