APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 16
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes July 16 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual: The following change has been made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The specific change is listed below.
- Table 3-77 Dried fruits (diced, sectioned, segmented, sliced, or whole--with or without seeds) - language in footnote #1 has been changed
Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. The specific changes are listed below.
Chapter 3-13 Foreign-Origin Swine Meat and Meat Products
- Figure 3-13-7 APHIS-Approved Mexican Swine Processing Plants, Fresh Swine Meat - new TIF Establishment 241 has been added
Plants for Planting Manual: The Plants for Planting Manual (here) was updated, transmittal 07/2013-21, to add new treatment schedules and to make CITES changes. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin of each revised page, are as follows:
- Page 4-15: CITES Adenia firingalavensis and Adenia subsessilifolia added; Adenia olaboensis changed to include all propagules
- Page 4-25: New treatment for Allium sativum bulbs added
- Page 4-27, 4-28, 4-29: CITES Lilliaceae alt. to Asphodelaceae added to listed Aloe species
- Page 4-38: CITES Apostasiaceae cross-referenced to Orchidaceae; Aqularia spp. footnote changed to #14

The following taxa were deleted from CITES Appendix II: Dudleya stonifera, Dudleya traskiae, Tillandisia kautskyi, Tillandsia sprengeliana, Tillandsia sucrei. Formatting changes have also been made throughout the manual.
