APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for June 5

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes June 5 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Costa Rica Dracaena Facilities: The list of Approved Dracaena spp. Facilities authorized to export Dracaena spp. from Costa Rica to the continental U.S. (here) was updated, 06/2014-21, to remove Ornamentales Las Pavas, registry number 3080.

Treatment Manual: The following changes were made to the Treatment Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information:

Chapter 5-2 Treatment Schedules

  • Page 5-2-83 under T107e— in T100 - Schedules for Fruit, Nuts, and Vegetables for Which Cold Treatment Is Authorized - Bactrocera invadens added to list of pests for T107e. The addition of this pest is pending regulatory approval.
