APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for July 14
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes July 14 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Animal Product Manual: The following changes have been made to the Animal Product Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections. Specific changes are listed below.
Chapter 2-4 Procedures Biological Material, Animal Products or By-Products Transiting for Export
- Table 2-4-14 Additional Criteria for Deciding Whether to Allow Animal Products or By-Products to Transit for Export - language and hyperlink have been added to footnote #1
Chapter 3-2 Avian Products
- Table 3-2-2 Avian Products Locator - page 1 of 2 language in the fifth cell of the first column (If:) has been revised; page 2 of 2 language in the first cell of the first column (If:) has been revised; language has been added to footnote #1
Chapter 3-3 Bovine Products

Appendix G Certificates and Forms
- NEW Figures G-1-12 and G-1-13 CFIA Annex A-1 Veterinary Certificate for Bovine Meat, Meat By-Products, and Meat Food Products Intended for Human Consumption Destined to the USA and for Bovine Meat Products in Transit in the USA (pages 1 and 2)
Costa Rica Dracaena Facilities: The list of Approved Dracaena spp. Facilities authorized to export Dracaena spp. from Costa Rica to the continental United States (here) has been updated, 07/2014-23, to add a facility's information to the list. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin of the revised page, are as follows:
- Page 3: Added Ornamentales Las Pavas, Registry No. 3080
Cut Flowers and Greenery: The Cut Flowers and Greenery Import Manual (here) has been updated to add species of Dianthus, Protea, and Trachelium cut flowers from Ecuador to the list of flower and country of origin combinations eligible for release in Table 2-17. Changes, indicated by black change bars in the left page margin, are on page 2-24.
