APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for May 15
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes May 15 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Plants for Planting: The Plants for Planting Manual (here) has been updated, 05/2015-36. Revisions, indicated by a black change bar in the left margin, are as follows:
- Page 2-11: Added U.S. origin plants returning from Canada
- Pages 2-11, 2-12: Added solely to from Canada
- Page 4-141: Changed Cyclamen spp. CITES annotation number
- Page 4-142: Changed Cymbidium spp. CITES annotation number
- Page 4-153: Changed Dendrobium spp. CITES annotation number
- Page 4-358: Changed Phalaenopsis spp. CITES annotation number
- Page 4-435: Changed Schlumbergera spp. CITES annotation number
- Page 4-500: Changed Vanda spp. CITES annotation number
- Page 6-2: Removed previous and added CITES Appendices Interpretation valid from February 5, 2015
- Page 6-3: Changed annotation numbers to align with latest interpretation
- Page 6-5: Removed previous text and cross-referenced to the CITES Designated Ports Directory for plants and plant products (listed in the CITES Timber Species Manual, chapter 5)
