APHIS Updates PPQ Manuals for Nov. 29

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced changes Nov. 29 to Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) electronic manuals. While some changes are minor, other changes may affect the admissibility of the plant products, including fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Miscellaneous and Processed Products: The following changes have been made to the Miscellaneous and Processed Products Manual (here) to reflect up-to-date information and corrections:

Chapter 3 Reference

  • Table 3-168 Wood packaging materials (WPM) LACKING ISPM 15 mark -- language in footnote #3 has been revised
  • Independent document located on the Manuals Unit home page has been retitled, "Supplemental Note for Alternative Treatment Procedures for Non-Compliant Dunnage in Maritime Bulk Cargo."
