On January 14, 2011, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development announced that it on February 25, 2011, it will present the signing of a new Aircraft Sector Understanding (ASU) that includes new terms for the use of export credit financing for commercial aircraft sales agreed to by government negotiators in late 2010. The new ASU aims to move export credit financing closer to market rates and produce a level playing field between manufacturers, airlines and governments.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs has issued decisions: (1) regulating customs supervisions of goods on exit and entry, in and out of land border gate areas and (2) specifying customs procedures of international connecting trains on exit or entry; luggage of people on exit or entry; and customs control at international and inland connecting railway stations.

The World Economic Forum has announced sustainability initiatives pertaining to its work on supply chain carbon reporting. The WEF states that it is focusing on practical implementation of consignment-level carbon reporting guidelines from an agreement made during its 2010 meeting in Davos. Organizations involved have agreed to a joint vision of simple, accurate greenhouse-gas data management and reporting. Action towards this is underway.

Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry announces that the Government of Japan has signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Japan and the Republic of India (IJCEPA), and Indian officials will sign it on February 16. This will rank as Japan’s 12th EPA, once it enters into force. It is expected that this Agreement will promote the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment between the two countries and will further vitalize both economies by strengthening reciprocal economic ties in wide-ranging fields.
