The Bureau of Industry and Security added Beijing-based (Jack) Wang Wei, as well as six of his companies, to the Entity List over Wei’s alleged supply of U.S.-origin items to an Iranian defense industry associate and “an Iranian party whose customers include companies designated by the Department of Treasury as Specially Designated Nationals,” BIS said in a notice (here). Wei is listed under China and Hong Kong. The sanctioned companies are as follows:
The Commerce Department is seeking nominations for 10 new members of its Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness, it said (here). Nominees should represent supply chain firms or their associations; users of supply chains, such as retailers, distributors, manufacturers or other sectors; freight transportation providers; ports; and academia, said Commerce. Based on the current composition of the committee, Commerce is seeking representatives from the retail, airport, energy, logistics and freight forwarding, and big data analysis sectors, it said. Applications are due Dec. 18.
The Bureau of Industry and Security made two technical corrections to Code of Federal Regulations Title 15, the portion of the regulations that covers trade. BIS cut a general information phrase (here) and added the term "Export Control Classification Number" in one instance (here).
