CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that as of December 6, 2010, a link to the Stow Plan Guidelines under ACE EDI Messages has been removed. Documentation related to stow plans in ACE will remain the same as they are in ACS, unless otherwise noted. The current and appropriate stow plan documents can be found here.

CBP has posted a press release regarding Commissioner Bersin’s keynote speech at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s "North American Competitiveness and the Global Supply Chain” Summit. According to the press release, Bersin emphasized the need to make judgments about passengers and cargo as early in time and as far away geographically as possible from the actual physical boundaries. He noted that this would require that the information be obtained pre-departure and that the assessments of risk be made before a plane, a train, or a ship actually departs from the home port.
CBP has posted its fiscal year 2010 Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act (also known as the "Byrd Amendment") annual report. This report contains three sections:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is announcing an additional 30 day comment period for the proposed extension of its existing "Declaration of Ultimate Consignee That Articles Were Exported for Temporary Scientific or Educational Purposes" information collection, which it plans to submit to the Office of Management and Budget for review and approval.
CBP has posted the U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter for December 2-8, 2010. The Blotter provides information on Border Patrol activities during the specified week.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Board of Commissioners has authorized a program to upgrade three of the major roads at the agency’s New Jersey marine terminals to increase cargo capacity and enhance safety.
