The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) has issued a notice announcing that on June 6, 2006, India requested World Trade Organization (WTO) consultations concerning certain issues relating to a 2004 amendment to Customs Directive 099 3510-004, which added new guidelines for determining continuous bond requirements for importers of agriculture or aquaculture merchandise subject to antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duty cases, and subsequent clarifications and amendments thereof.
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has made a final affirmative antidumping (AD) duty determination that imports of certain lined paper products from India are being, or are likely to be, sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has made a final affirmative countervailing (CV) duty determination that countervailable subsidies are being provided to producers and exporters of certain lined paper products from India.
CBP has issued messages on a number of antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duty actions, many of which (marked by an * in the action column) were previously published in the Federal Register by the International Trade Administration (ITA) and summarized in International Trade Today.
The International Trade Administration (ITA) frequently issues notices on antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duty orders which Broker Power considers to be "minor" in importance as they concern actions that occur after an order is issued and neither announce nor cause any changes to an order's duty rates, scope, affected firms, or effective period. The ITA also issues other notices which Broker Power considers to be "minor" in importance.
If it does not receive, by August 31, 2006, a request for an administrative review of entries covered by an AD or CV duty order or suspension agreement listed above for the identified review period, the ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to assess AD or CV duties on those entries at a rate equal to the cash deposit of (or bond for) estimated AD or CV duties required on those entries at the time of entry, and to continue to collect the cash deposit previously ordered.
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has issued its preliminary results of the following antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duty administrative reviews:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a revised version of its informed compliance publication (ICP) entitled, What Every Member of the Trade Community Should Know About: Cane and Beet Sugar (Quota, Classification & Entry).
The International Trade Administration (ITA) has published its lists of recently completed antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CV) duty scope rulings and anticircumvention determinations; terminated scope inquiries; and pending scope and anticircumvention inquiries.
