The International Trade Commission began a Section 337 investigation on allegations that Caragum International of France and Kemi Pine Rosins of Portugal are importing and selling food additives that infringe patents held by T&R Chemicals, Inc. (ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1476), it said in a Jan. 6 press release.
The Commerce Department issued antidumping duty orders on hexamethylenetetramine (hexamine) from Germany (A-428-854), India (A-533-932) and Saudi Arabia (A-517-807), and a countervailing duty order on hexamine from India (C-533-933).

The Commerce Department issued notices in the Federal Register on its recently initiated antidumping duty investigations on chromium trioxide from India (A-533-944) and Turkey (A-489-856), as well as its countervailing duty investigation on chromium trioxide from India (C-533-945). The CVD investigation covers entries for calendar year 2024. The AD investigations cover entries July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
The Commerce Department has published the final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on tapered roller bearings and parts thereof from China (A-570-601). In these final results, Commerce upheld its preliminary finding that Shanghai Tainai Bearing Co., Ltd. (Tainai) had no shipments during the review period. Commerce said therefore Tainai's AD cash deposit rate won't change as a result of this review, and any entries under its case number during the period June 1, 2023, through May 31, 2024, will be liquidated at the China-wide rate of 92.84%.
Eighty-three models of passenger vehicle and light truck wheels imported by Vision Wheel are outside the scope of antidumping duty and countervailing duty orders on steel trailer wheels 12- to 16.5-inch in diameter from China, the Commerce Department found in a Dec. 29 scope ruling. Though they appear to meet the definition of subject merchandise in the plain language of the scope, Vision’s products aren’t trailer wheels, the department decided.
A domestic coalition recently filed a petition with the Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission requesting antidumping and countervailing duties be imposed on fresh winter strawberries from Mexico. Commerce now will decide whether to begin AD/CVD investigations, which could result in the imposition of permanent AD/CVD orders and the assessment of AD and CVD on importers. The investigation was requested by the Strawberry Growers for Fair Trade, which consists of Florida-based companies and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
